BRASSERIE BLANC BOURNEMOUTH

The Brasserie Bar Company partnered with Marriott International to open a Brasserie Blanc restaurant at the Marriott Highcliff Hotel in Bournemouth.
 

The design and integration of a contemporary bar and restaurant into a traditional seafront hotel has been central to the success of the project. The client needed a range of coherent, interconnected spaces that could be used throughout the day. The layout had to be able to accommodate more than 200 daily breakfast servings, while remaining an intimate, destination-led dining experience for hotel guests and visitors alike.
 

The key to unlocking the internal space was to transform the two original bars into a single back-to-back unit that it easily accessible from all sides. A conservatory-style extension has been remodelled to create a cosy secondary bar space.
 

Large areas of plush banquette seating combined with high-end lighting articulate the main dining space, creating a luxurious yet comfortable aesthetic. Complementing both Brasserie Blanc and Marriott’s established interior styles, the high-quality material palette includes marble and granite work surfaces, oak joinery, botanical wallpaper prints and brass ironmongery.
 

Externally, the sea-facing dining terrace has been doubled in size and now features glass balustrading, large, white, branded awnings, heaters and casual seating.
