HILL TOP ROAD

As the name implies this road is at the top of a hill in Oxford. The views from the upper storey windows overlooking Oxford city centre are great. This was not completely lost on the Edwardian builders of the original house who had left a flat roof with balustrade accessible from the top of the
internal staircase. This is as far as it went though.
PNW were asked to design a loft conversion for an extra bedroom and en-suite bathroom. It was possible to do this and still leave a generous balcony accessed by sliding folding doors.
The planning department agreed that the works could be undertaken under permitted development and the party wall arrangements were agreed without too much difficulty. With the views over Oxford the result is the most desirable bedroom in the house.
