Giggling Squid Farnham is set within a grade-two* listed, 16th century building on Castle Street in the town centre. The property was dilapidated and required considerable remedial works as part of the refurbishment scheme. The main design move was to demolish the existing single-storey kitchen extension at the rear, and replace it with a sympathetically designed two-storey structure housing a much larger kitchen with modern plant equipment concealed within the roof space. The extensive roofing work was carried out by a local contractor to a very high standard.
