Giggling Squid Windsor occupies a former Italian restaurant in the town centre. The listed building resembles a patchwork of development, with the oldest parts facing Windsor Castle and more recent additions located at the rear. A basement was revealed during preliminary strip-out works, creating an opportunity to reconsider the proposed restaurant layout. As a result, the toilets were located in the newly acquired basement and the kitchen was placed on the first floor in order to maximise the available ground-floor dining area. A pair of rooflights boost daylighting and add further visual interest to the dining space.
