MILSOMS BATH

This project involved the conversion of the upper floors of a grade-two star listed former bank on the corner of Milsom Street and George Street into a small boutique hotel in the centre of Bath. The interior design strikes a careful balance between old and new. A good example are the en suite bathrooms, which are located ‘free-standing’ within the bedrooms to ensure that the listed building features remain intact. Designing the services for this arrangement was particularly challenging. The success of this modest hotel formed a template for further boutique hotels under the name of Milsoms Hotels.
