BRASSERIE BLANC BATH

Brasserie Blanc had looked at many possible sites in Bath, finally settling on space within The Francis Hotel off Queens Square. Once again this property is a listed building. Though the portion of the hotel that Brasserie Blanc occupies was rebuilt in the 1950’s following bomb damage.A new entrance was formed out on to Barton Street to provide an entrance for the public. A staircase formed down into the basement with balustrade reminiscent of those found on the Eiffel Tower. Major structural works undertaken between the dining area and kitchen area where a hidden lightwell comes down within the building. This provided the route up for kitchen extraction which was all acoustically clad and housed to prevent disruption to hotel bedrooms. The existing room within the Queens Hotel provided a fantastic brasserie dining room without too much intervention required. Sliding sash windows were fully restored into working order a bar servery introduced around the new stair enclosure.
