BRASSERIE BLANC WINCHESTER

Situated on Jewry Street, Brasserie Blanc Winchester occupies a newly built, mixed-use development housing offices and apartments. The front elevation incorporates a former butcher’s shop, while the side elevation overlooks Winchester Public Library. Although not listed, the building falls within a conservation area and a good deal of consideration was given to designing appropriate shopfronts.

Internally, a centrally-located feature stair connects dining areas set over two floors. The ground-floor bar and dining area are organised around a sunny courtyard garden with access via café doors. An intimate private dining room occupies one of the corner tower rooms on the first floor, with French doors leading out onto a planted balcony overlooking Jewry Street and the library.
